Perth 2024 Rugby Sevens Odds
To set the scene for our 2024 Rugby 7s Australia betting tips, here’s a look at the latest Perth 2024 Rugby Sevens odds from the best bookies in Australia:
Talk about a log jam at the top of the bookies’ betting odds! Still, choose early cash-out betting sites. Argentina have their noses ever so slightly in front of the pack at 4.33 (10/3) before bookmakers clearly can’t decide between New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, and South Africa – so instead, they’ve popped them all on 5.00 (4/1) and callen it a day.
History of the Rugby 7s Australia Series
The Australian Sevens have been a regular fixture in the Sevens calendar for more than two decades. First taking place as an invitational tournament in the 1980s, the Australian Sevens began officially in 2000. Since then, it has taken place in various stadiums across the country. This will be the first year it’s traveled as far west as Perth, however.
Here’s how the last five editions of the Australian Sevens have unfolded:
- 2017 – South Africa beat England
- 2018 – Australia beat South Africa
- 2019 – New Zealand beat the United States
- 2020 – Fiji beat South Africa
- 2023 – New Zealand beat South Africa
With the home nation failing to win since 2018, can they break their curse this weekend? Read on to find out with our rugby 7s 2023-24 betting tips.

Rugby 7s Perth 2024 Predictions
We’ve broken down the latest rugby odds and done the hard work to find the top Rugby 7s 2023-24 betting tips this weekend. Here are our three expert rugby PER predictions 2024:
New Zealand to Win Outright @ 5.00 (4/1)
1 (50%)
(50%) 1
It’s all been a ploy from New Zealand to pump up the betting odds. Now that the Kiwis are paying a healthy 5.00 (4/1) to win a tournament, expect the All-Black to storm home and claim the title in Perth, making us all rich in the process.
All jokes aside, it was around this time last year that New Zealand began kicking into gear. They had a slow start to the season in 2022-23 but managed to find their mojo a few tournaments in and go on a hot winning streak. Expect the same thing to happen again this year. They’ve already been there or thereabouts across the opening two events, and with a title defense on the line in Perth, we should finally see everything click into place.
Australia to Win Pool B @ 1.50 (1/2)
2 (100%)
0
Nothing gets the Aussies up and going quite like a boozy home crowd. While they may not have won this event since 2018, they know how to bring their best across the group phase at a very minimum.
While Australia started the season poorly in Dubai, they’ve since made amends in Cape Town by topping their pool there. With a relatively easy pool (read: no South Africa, Fiji, Argentina, or New Zealand), plus a raucous home crowd behind them, the home side should romp through to the top spot in their group across the first two days of the Perth SVNS.
High-Odds Outright Winner – Ireland @ 17.00 (16/1)
2 (100%)
0
This is something of a long shot, but it’s also not that outrageous. Despite their long odds of 17.00 (16/1), Ireland are the sixth favorite to win in Perth with a range of trendy bets offered. In the year’s first tournament, they made the quarter-finals, but most recently, they predictably topped their pool in Cape Town and made it all the way to the semi-finals. This kind of improvement, paired with the underdog, giant killer vibe of the Irishmen this season, and you wouldn’t want to bet against them pulling off an upset or two in Australia.
Best 2024 Rugby 7s Perth Betting Tips
The 2023-24 SVNS hits Perth this weekend, where the Aussies will be out in force to cheer on their home team. While we say they’ll initially have something to cheer about, eventually, this will become the age-old story of little brother New Zealand coming across the ditch and beating up big brother Australia in anything involving an oval ball. Back the Kiwis to pick up their first win of the season and defend their Australia Sevens title.
