Darts World Cup 2024 Outright Odds
Dart odds for betting suggest we are about to witness a fascinating contest in Frankfurt for the coveted Darts World Cup trophy. If you are thinking about placing a bet on 2024 Darts World Cup, you must have a look at the outright odds first. Here are the top favorites:
England @ 1.83 (5/6)
Darts 2024 World Cup odds present England as the ultimate favorites. Darts betting sites in Germany are showing great confidence in the English duo of Luke Humphries and Michael Smith. Having tasted World Championship titles in recent years, Humphries and Smith will look to replicate their success for England.
Netherlands @ 6.50 (11/2)
Four time champions Netherlands will look to win their first World Cup in seven years. Veteran Michael van Gerwen returns to action with Danny Noppert as his partner. Van Gerwen has not been at his best lately, but if he can recapture his form, the Dutch can bring the glory days back.
Wales @ 7.00 (6/1)
Since Wales are defending champions, our darts tips for World Cup 2024 cannot overlook Gerwyn Price and Johnny Clayton. The Welshmen have combined to deliver two World Cups for their country and they will be coming to Frankfurt eyeing a third one. Wales are third favorites at odds of 7.00 (6/1).
Germany @ 12.00 (11/1)
Martin Schindler and Gabriel Clemens will represent the host nation in the 2024 Darts World Cup. The Germans have never won the title despite hosting the tournament several times. Schindler will be in high spirits following his 2024 International Darts Open triumph, which is his first PDC silverware. Clemens made the World Darts Championship semis last year and has recorded wins against some of the world’s best players lately.
Scotland @ 21.00 (20/1)
Peter Wright and Gary Anderson will be the Scottish flag bearers in the competition. Both of them bring years of top-level experience to the table. Wright and Anderson have won the PDC World Championships twice and also won the World Cup together in 2019. Peter Wright was part of the 2021 campaign as well, but that year, he lifted the trophy with John Henderson.
Understanding the PDC World Cup of Darts
The Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) launched the World Cup of Darts in 2010 as one of three exciting new tournaments added to their calendar.
The top four nations boast a seeding advantage. Their players’ combined rankings on the PDC Order of Merit grant them entry directly to the second round. The remaining 36 teams, including 12 seeded nations, are divided into 12 groups of three.
These groups battle it out in a round-robin format, with each match being a best-of-seven-legs doubles contest. Only the victor from each group advances to the second round.
From the second round onwards, a single-elimination format kicks in. Matches become a battle of endurance, requiring players to win the best of 15 legs. This intensifies further in the final, where champions are crowned after the best of 19 legs.
Past Winners of the Darts World Cup
- 2019 – Scotland beat Ireland
- 2020 – Wales beat England
- 2021 – Scotland beat Austria
- 2022 – Australia beat Wales
- 2023 – Wales beat Scotland
British teams have been dominant in the PDC World Cup of Darts lately. Austria and Australia are the only two non-British sides to make the final lately, with the latter claiming the title by beating Wales in 2022.
PDC 2024 Darts WC Predictions
Online betting app variants have been offering enticing World Cup darts odds across several markets. Here are our recommended 2024 PDC World Cup of Darts predictions:
Wales to Win @ 7.00 (6/1)

England are the runaway favorites according to bookmakers, but we are not convinced that the four time world champions have the pairing to go all the way.
While Luke Humphries has been excellent lately, the same can’t be said for his partner. Michael Smith has cut a poor figure in recent outings, and we believe it would be too big of a challenge for Humphries to lead England’s title charge alone. So, our money is on a different British side, Wales.
Wales return to the World Cup as reigning champions, with the dynamic duo of Gerwyn Price and Jonny Clayton back to defend their crown. Their 2023 victory was a masterclass, particularly from Price, who thrives in the team format.
Price’s experience in rugby union fuels his competitive spirit, and their close friendship translates into exceptional teamwork. While Clayton’s recent form hasn’t been explosive, Price’s high-scoring prowess and their undeniable chemistry make them a force to be reckoned with.
Germany vs New Zealand – Over 5.5 Legs @ 2.10 (21/20)

Germany’s Clemens and Schindler appear to have the edge on paper, but New Zealand’s Haupai Puha shouldn’t be underestimated. He’s been making waves at recent Players Championships, even giving World Champion Gary Anderson a run for his money.
Puha’s individual skill is undeniable. On the other hand, Schindler’s struggles, particularly with doubles, raise questions about Germany’s consistency. This could be a closer match than expected, with New Zealand potentially causing an upset and grabbing some legs.
Australia to Beat Japan 4-0 @ 4.00 (3/1)

Japan’s Tomoya Goto and Ryusei Azemoto will face a daunting challenge as they will face their cross-Pacific neighbors, Australia, in their Darts World Cup opener. Damon Heta and Simon Whitlock will team up for the Aussies, who, of course, won the World Cup in 2022. In terms of experience and firepower, this seems to be a one-sided affair.
Though Goto impressed in the 2024 World Championship, both Japan’s players might struggle against Australia’s strong team. Considering this, Australia appears to be the favorite for a clean sweep.
Our Darts World Cup 2024 Betting Tips
While England and the Netherlands are getting the love from bookmakers, we believe the current holders offer better value. Also, we are confident of Australia making a flying start to their campaign with a dominant win against Japan.
