Miyuu Yamashita is making her debut in the top five favorites in the LPGA Tournament this season, but she is a huge underdog in this event. The Japanese professional golfer has been decent in the last few weeks and she grabbed an impressive fourth place in the Olympic Games in France.
The Women’s British Open was established in 1976, and it is a major championship in women’s professional golf, recognized by both the LPGA Tour and the Ladies European Tour as a major. Jenny Smith won the inaugural edition, while Karrie Webb and Sherri Steinhauer are tied for most victories in the Women’s British Open.
