Darts 2024 World Matchplay Women’s Odds
Before getting into our 2024 Women’s World Matchplay predictions, let’s see what darts apps for betting have to say about this event. These are the betting favorites heading into Sunday:
Looking at these darts odds, one thing is clear: Beau Greaves is once again a heavy favorite to win. She leads the pack by some margin, paying 1.50 (1/2) to win, ahead of the next closest, Fallon Sherrock, at 5.50 (9/2). A big gap exists between these two and the rest of the field as well, with Lisa Ashton on 12.00 (11/1) before Noa-Lynn van Leuven and Mikuru Suzuki round out the top five on 13.00 (12/1) and 17.00 (16/1), respectively.
Understanding the Women’s World Matchplay 2024
This will be the third occurrence of the Women’s World Matchplay, with the event beginning back in 2022. While the first edition of the tournament saw Fallon Sherrock defeat Aileen de Graaf 6-3 in the November 2022 final, Beau Greaves claimed her rightful spot at the top with a 6-1 win on debut over Mikuru Suzuki this time last year.
Qualification for this year’s event is based on the PDC Order of Merit, with the top eight women from the last 24 tournaments making it through. A total of £25,000 is on the line this time, plus a place at the 2024 Grand Slam of Darts later this year.
Women’s Darts 2024 World Matchplay Predictions
This is what you’re here for: our darts tips for Female World Matchplay 2024. We’ve searched the top darts bookies in UK and come up with three hot tips for your betting this weekend.
Beau Greaves to Win Outright @ 1.50 (1/2)
1 (50%)
(50%) 1
Our darts predictions for the 2024 World Matchplay Women wouldn’t have any credibility if we didn’t begin with a mention of the bookies’ favorite, Beau Greaves. We agree with the bookmakers that the Englishwoman should win this Sunday.
Greaves had a slow start to the season by her standards, failing to win any of the first five PDC events. She then went on to win three of the next four, and has made four other finals. Of the 12 events so far this year, she’s been in the final match 58 percent of the time and won a quarter in total.
Given that no other woman has made more than three finals this year or won more than two events, Greaves is miles ahead in terms of her consistency. She gets up for the big stage, too, as we saw last year, and is a great bet to defend her title.
High-Odds Pick: Lisa Ashton to Win @ 12.00 (11/1)
2 (100%)
0
If odds of 1.50 (1/2) don’t tickle your fancy, then fair enough. Greaves has only won 25 percent of the time this year, so from that perspective, her low odds don’t seem like a great trade. Thankfully, we have much more lucrative betting tips.
Lisa Ashton has been in red-hot form for the past six weeks on the PDC women’s tour. We’re talking dominant 5-1 victories in the finals of the last two events, with wins over Greaves in both as well.
In fact, she’s only played five events this year, and her results include semi-final, final, semi-final, winner, winner. Not too shabby – and the kind of form that could net her a win at the Women’s World Matchplay this weekend.
Mikuru Suzuki to Beat Noa-Lynn van Leuven @ 2.10 (11/10)
2 (100%)
0
Mikuru Suzuki has been out of action on the women’s series the past few events, but we’re confident she can back up her finals run last year with an opening victory. Suzuki has made the final of her last two events on tour, something that Van Leuven can’t say. Expect her to come out of the blocks fast and pick up a win over the Dutchwoman.
