The List of the Best Online Snooker Betting Sites ⭐

Those looking for the best bookies can always use BetZillion’s top-tier sports betting services. But even though it’s easy to find a sportsbook that offers snooker markets, know that not all are a good choice.

Finding the best places to wager on this sport will be crucial to your long-term betting success. It might take some time to find the best snooker betting sites that will fit that bill, but there are three main things you need to look out for.

  1. The website where you intend to bet has to have a competitive odds selection.
  2. Preferably, it should have some betting bonuses and promotions, including a welcome bonus.
  3. Besides that, it helps if a bookie has in-play and a solid banking department, meaning it accepts various deposit methods and offers to bet with Bitcoin.

If you find a website that checks these marks, you have found a good place to wager. And if you’re unsure which bookie to pick, you can check out my list of the best snooker online betting sites below.

List of the Best Snooker Betting Apps 📱

All bigger sportsbooks will have snooker betting markets and any local betting shop in your city. However, while these two options are readily available to almost anyone, the majority of punters nowadays swear by using a mobile app.

All of the best sportsbooks nowadays cater to mobile bettors by offering mobile apps since using an app is a far more convenient way to place bets compared to mobile websites. With an app, you can bet anytime, anywhere, and some apps even come with exclusive bonuses and promotions, such as free bets and bonus wagering cash for those who download an app.

The Best Bookies for Snooker Betting in the USA 🇺🇸

Sports betting regulation in the USA falls under the jurisdiction of individual states. This development began in 2018 after the Supreme Court ruled to overturn the federal ban on sports betting (PASPA)

In the years since then, the US betting industry has grown rapidly, particularly in major markets like New Jersey, New York, Nevada, and Pennsylvania. Those states were among the earliest to legalize betting, but today, fans can bet legally in more than 30 states.

Based on research, the most prominent betting companies in the US market include FanDuel, DraftKings, William Hill, and BetMGM. These operators not only deliver sufficient snooker betting coverage, but they also boast competitive odds and generous promotional deals.

Several American states have opened the door to licensed sportsbooks for online or retail sports betting. To keep you updated on the situation, I’ve put together this table highlighting states where online and retail betting is fully legal in the US.

bet365 is an established brand that ticks all the right boxes for your snooker betting experience. The bookie is licensed in multiple jurisdictions and offers detailed coverage of major tournaments, like the Triple Crown series and Snooker World Grand Prix.

This sportsbook’s website has one of the most functional layouts I’ve seen. Every piece of information is smartly organized, and the use of space is good enough to avoid a cluttered layout. The bet365 platform also passes the usability test thanks to a combination of optimized menus, filters, and an efficient search function.

Another impressive quality I noted was the responsiveness of bet365’s features on desktop and mobile. You’ll find the loading times to be seamless, and there are no lags to contend with during live betting, ensuring a positive user experience for everyone.

William Hill Is the Best Bookie for Bonuses 🎁

William Hill Website

William Hill Website

William Hill’s presence in the industry dates back several decades, a fact that always comes into play when analyzing just how reliable the company is. It offers consistent market depth and above-market prices on most sports, including non-mainstream markets like snooker.

William Hill excels across the board, but it’s the generous bonuses and promotions that help it make my list. For new users, a lucrative welcome pack is available in the form of sign up free bets and a matched deposit awarded after signing up and depositing money.

Returning members can also enjoy a range of free bets, cashback profit boosts, and many more ongoing deals. My favorite bit about these promotions is that they are tailored to various competitions. So, if you’re looking to uncover some extra value for the Masters Snooker, William Hill is definitely worth considering.

DraftKings Is the Best Betting App 📱

DraftKings Website

DraftKings Website

DraftKings used to be known for its Daily Fantasy Sports product, but today, its sportsbook is as popular as any other established brand in the US. This operator’s mobile app is, without doubt, its standout feature. I found it to be highly usable, and user ratings of 4.4/5 and 4.8/5 on Android and iOS confirm that many bettors rate these platforms favorably.

Exploring different markets and placing bets with the DraftKings app is a breeze thanks to a properly optimized layout plus useful navigation features. Some of the top features you’ll find include live streaming, detailed statistics, and same-game parlay builders. There are also customizable alerts that keep you updated on odds changes, match results, and promotional offers.

The fact that the betting platform is integrated with daily fantasy and casino functions improves its overall appeal.

Betway Website

Betway Website

Betway is a reliable sports betting brand popular for its simple website and comprehensive selection of sports. Besides these trademark features, it also has betting prices that consistently rank among the highest on the market.

If you’re a regular bettor who wants to enjoy added value from your consistent wagering, Betway is the place to be. The loyalty program here operates a standard points-based system where you accumulate Comp Points (CP) based on wagering activity.

What I most liked about it was the accessibility – every user can partake in the loyalty program as soon as they sign up. What’s more, once you amass enough points, you can redeem them for free bets or bonus cash to use on a wide range of markets.

PROS CONS
PROS

BC.Game Is the Best Crypto Sportsbook 🪙

BC.Game Website

BC.Game is the ideal sportsbook for those seeking the added security and privacy that crypto betting offers. You’ll find more than 30 crypto payment methods supported on this site, including well-known coins like BTC, ETH, and LTC.

Because everything operates on decentralized blockchain technology, transaction processing here is also highly efficient. In most cases, deposits and withdrawals are completed almost instantly, with very minimal fees.

Moreover, it was nice to note that the payment limits on BC.Game cater to punters of varying budgets. Asides from its crypto compatibility, my research also found this platform to be one of the most secure and strongly-regulated operators within the UK and Ireland.

Betfair Is the Best Betting Exchange 🔄

Betfair Website

Betfair Website

Betfair’s position as the largest betting exchange in the world is one of the main factors that propelled it to this list. If what you’re looking for is a reliable platform where you can maximize your returns through exchange betting, you won’t find a much better option.

One of the great things about Betfair’s exchange is how great the odds are. Because bettors are basically trading bets with other users, the sportsbook is able to eliminate the house edge and deliver better prices.

I checked out the prices for backing and laying multiple outcomes on snooker matches, and the margins always turned up better than traditional betting lines. The demand on buying and selling odds is also much higher during premium snooker tournaments, making for improved prices and excellent liquidity across markets.

PROS CONS
PROS
  • Industry-leading betting exchange
  • Functional mobile apps for Android or iOS devices
  • Solid variety of snooker markets
  • In-play betting and live streaming available
CONS
  • Not available to US bettors

FreshBet Has the Best Client Support 👩‍💻

FreshBet Website

FreshBet Website

FreshBet is a top choice for enjoying a diverse betting experience on niche markets such as snooker. It is especially known for its wide-reaching coverage of tournaments and leagues within Europe, North America, and Asia. The odds are pretty standard, particularly when it comes to prestigious tournaments like the World Snooker Championship.

Where I consider FreshBet to be a real game-changer is in the area of client support. The bookie’s support department is available round the clock through email and live chat, with representatives who are friendly and resourceful.

The fact that users can access support in multiple languages also counts as a plus. To cap it all, a detailed FAQs page on the FreshBet website improves the bookmaker’s support efficiency.

Bonuses & Promotions 🎁

Bookmakers will do everything they can to attract new customers to their platform, and the easiest way to do so is by offering generous betting bonuses and promotions. These come in many shapes and sizes, but the most common include welcome bonuses.

Existing users can expect other offers, such as free bets, price boosts, reload bonuses, and many more – especially during major tournaments such as the Snooker World Championship, Scottish Open, or English Open. But while bonuses and promotions are readily available on all of the best snooker bookmakers, some do a much better job with their bonus offers.

Criteria for the Best Betting Sites 📊

Since many online betting sites offer snooker markets, it can be tedious to find the best one. However, this process becomes much easier if you know what to look for. Here, I will look at the main criteria bettors should look for when ranking bookies and deciding which is the best betting site for them.

Criteria Explanation
💻 User Interface Many sportsbook review sites disregard the importance of the user interface, but I don’t. I believe a good and user-friendly interface is what a proper betting site needs for bettors to enjoy a quick and effortless wagering experience.
🛒 Variety of Betting Markets The difference between a good and great snooker bookie is in various markets. While all betting sites in 2025 have an endless list of betting options, I only feature those with the widest range of markets.
🎁 Bonuses and Promotions The more bonuses and promos a betting site has, the better. It should open up with a welcome bonus, money-back offers, free bets, and ample promotions later, giving you plenty of extra cash to wager. Notable, most welcome bonuses come with wagering requirements (qualifying bet) or minimum deposits.
💳 Banking Options The best betting sites offer a wide range of payment methods, including credit and debit cards, online banking, E-wallets, and prepaid vouchers.
📱 Mobile Experience All modern bookmakers should cater to mobile bettors and offer a mobile version of their platform. When I review sportsbooks on our pages, I ensure they either have an app or a mobile website that works flawlessly on Android and iOS devices.
👩‍💻 Customer Service Great customer service is essential for the overall betting experience, regardless of what you bet on. My recommended betting sites are available 24/7 and over a stream of channels that include live chat and email.

How to Bet On Snooker Online 💡

Betting on this sport is very simple, and anyone can do it. But not everyone will make a profit from it, mainly because they either don’t approach it seriously enough or don’t know how to do it.

To help you with that, I have assembled a step-by-step guide on what you should watch out for and do before and while betting to ensure you’re in the best spot to succeed.

  • Consider using only the best bookmakers for betting on snooker, meaning you should create accounts only with bookies that can provide you with competitive odds and enough betting markets.
  • It’s extremely important to use only licensed sportsbooks, preferably those regulated by the MGA, UK Gambling Commission or US authorities, as this is the only way to ensure their safety.
  • Preferably, you should have accounts with multiple bookmakers to price shop and always bet with the best available odds.
  • It helps that the bookie you choose has live odds and offers live betting and live streams of the matches.
  • Before placing your bets, find as much information on the match/tournament as possible, look through stats, and ensure to wager with only the best odds.
  • Find a betting system that works for you and stick to it.
  • Learn bankroll management, never chase losses, and wager only as much as you can afford to lose.

Betting on this sport is simple because you don’t need to look far to find the best online snooker betting websites and because its betting markets are easy to understand. While those who don’t follow snooker will have to start from scratch to figure out the meaning of specific terms used in this sport, this is a very simple process anyone can learn quickly.

Here, I will examine some of the most popular betting markets, their meanings, and how to use them.

Match Winner

Match winner is the simplest bet you can make. With this bet, you simply predict which player will win the match.

Bookmakers will offer the winner bet under the “moneyline,” “to win,” or match markets, and is one of the bet types that will be readily available on all betting websites.

Frame Betting

Frame betting is essentially handicap betting or, more precisely, frame handicap betting. This bet works the same way as any other handicap wager in other sports, where a bookmaker offers a positive or negative handicap on the players who are of unequal skill in a bid to level the playing field.

For example, if we had a match between Steve Davis and Mark Williams, and Davis was favoured to win, Paddy Power would offer a -5.5 frame handicap on Davis and a +5.5 frame handicap on Williams. If you bet on Davis -5.5 frames, you’re essentially predicting that Davis will win the match with at least six frames. On the other hand, a +5.5 frames wager on Williams means you’re expecting Williams to win or not lose by more than five frames.

Highest Break

The highest break is a very common bet, available from all of the best snooker bookies, and it’s easy to understand. With this market, you can bet on the highest break in a tournament or a match, predicting which player will make the highest break – or the number of points he’ll score in a single visit to the table.

Winning Margin

The winning margin is another popular bet, which shouldn’t be confused with a handicap. A winning margin is a wager with which you’re predicting how many frames one player will win the match. This wager will vary depending on the match format and is not exclusive to snooker – the same wager can be found in other sports, including basketball, football, and more.

To Score a Century Break

As the name suggests, it is a wager on whether a player will score a century break. In other words, it’s a bet on whether a player will score 100 points or more during one visit to the table.

All of the snooker sports betting sites will have this bet available; even though it’s more of a niche wager, not many punters use it mainly because it’s not common.

To score a century break, a player must pot at least 25 consecutive balls, which is widely considered one of the most demanding challenges a player can face.

147 Break

A wager on a 147 break is a bet on whether a 147 break will or won’t happen. It’s a simple yes/no wager on whether a player will score the maximum break, and due to how difficult it is, you’ll often find much greater odds on the “no” option.

Player Specials

Besides all common markets, sportsbooks sometimes offer special betting markets, which are very similar to proposition wagers. And they serve the same purpose – to expand the offer of wagers a bettor can make.

Most player specials are under the “outright” odds or “proposition” markets.

Outright Bets

Outright bets on selected events are all wagers on future events, so outright bets are also known as “futures.” Typically, when we talk about outright betting, we refer to betting on tournament winners, such as wagers on who’ll win the World Snooker Championship.

This market is available months before the contest, and its odds change as it gets closer. Make sure to shop for outright odds and put your money at the right time to get the best returns.

Total Legs Betting

Total legs wager is a very self-explanatory bet, available on all betting websites for snooker. Also known as total frames bet, this market allows you to bet on the total number of frames (legs) in a match and is very similar to over/under bets in football.

In the early rounds of tournaments, games are played over 11 frames. The first player to win six frames wins the match. It extends to 15 frames or legs in the latter rounds. With total legs betting, you try to correctly predict the number of legs played in the match, with the odds being pretty solid, depending on the competition.

To Win the Quarter

To win a quarter is one of the future bets, as it allows you to back a player who’s supposed to win his quarter of the tournament and advance to the semi-finals. As a future bet, this wager is often accompanied by generous odds, but it can also be difficult to predict.

Quarter wins are often available in the top tournaments and competitions, such as the World Snooker Championship.

The big reason why punters prefer to use betting sites over land-based shops is the range of snooker betting options online bookmakers have and the accessibility of those markets.

Moneylines

Moneyline or “to win” markets are the most common and always available in any match. With this wager, you’re predicting which player will win a match.

Accumulators

Accumulators or multiples are wagers that combine two or more single bets into one bet slip. With accumulators, you can combine four moneyline wagers or mix moneyline wagers with handicap bets or other options to increase the total odds and potential payout.

Handicaps

Handicaps are the second-most popular bet type behind moneyline. Compared to moneyline wagers, handicaps offer more flexibility and are often used to bet on games between strong favourites and heavy underdogs.

Each snooker season features numerous big events, which are highly popular among sports fans and bettors. The biggest of them is the World Championship, which takes place in April at The Crucible Theatre in Sheffield; however, it is just one of many major competitions.

World Snooker Championship

The World Snooker Championship is an annual tournament and the biggest event of the year. It is the longest-running championship and the most prestigious, historically held in April.

The Snooker World Championship has been running since 1927 and is held at the world-renowned Crucible Theatre in South Yorkshire. It is a part of the Triple Crown and is the wealthiest tournament in snooker.

To date, numerous World Champions have been crowned from eight different countries; however, only seven players have ever won it more than four times, and none can compare to Joe Davis, who was crowned world champion 15 times. Interestingly, Davis has never lost a Snooker World Championship final.

UK Championship

The UK Championship is a professional tournament held in the UK annually. It was first held in 1977 and is, like the World Championship, part of the Triple Crown, hence one of the most prestigious tournaments on the tour.

With a prize purse of just over a million pounds, the UK Championship is also one of the most lucrative tournaments in the world.

Like the Snooker World Championship, the UK Championship has featured numerous champions from various countries, including China (Ding Junhui). However, only three players have ever won it more than three times – Stephen Hendry (5), Steve Davis (6), and Ronnie O’Sullivan (8).

The Masters

The Masters is a professional invitational tournament held every year since 1975. It is a part of the World Snooker Tour. It is the second-longest running tournament behind the World Championship and is one of the three Triple Crown events, along with the World Championship and the UK Championship.

The Masters has a lower prize pool, at £725,000, but that doesn’t make it any less prestigious, as only a handful of players have ever won it more than twice. Ronnie O’Sullivan is the current most successful player, with eight titles, ahead of Stephen Hendry, who has six.

Players Championship

The Players Championship is one of the youngest professional tournaments, established in 2011. It was first held that year in Dublin, where the top 24 players of the Order of Merit fought for the trophy. In 2016, it was rebranded to its current name and moved to Wales, featuring the top 16 players on the one-year rankings list.

This ranking event has a prize purse of just £385,000, but that doesn’t diminish its prestige and popularity among bettors and sports fans alike. In 2004, the Players Championship was renamed the Scottish Open.

Snooker World Grand Prix

Founded in 2015, the Snooker World Grand Prix is an annual tournament held in Wales. It welcomes 32 players and has a prize purse of £380,000.

As a ranking event, it features only the top players in the world, restricted to 32 on the one-year list. Six different champions have been named, including Judd Trump and Ronnie O’Sullivan, the only two players to win the Snooker World Grand Prix more than once.

English Open

The English Open is one of the youngest professional tournaments. Established in 2016, it is hosted annually at Brentwood Centre in Brentwood, England. It’s a ranking event with £427,000, and to date, six different players have won it, including Judd Trump and Mark Shelby, the only two multi-time champions.

Scottish Open

The Scottish Open is a professional tournament established in 1981 and has been hosted annually in the United Kingdom ever since. It is a ranking event with £427,000, formerly called the International Open, Matchroom Trophy and Players Championship.

Since it became a ranking event in 2016, the Scottish Open has been won by seven players, including Gary Wilson, who won in 2022 and 2023 and is one of only two (besides Mark Selby) to win it more than once.

Welsh Open

The Welsh Open is an annual professional tournament that has been held annually since 1992. It replaced the Welsh Professional Championship, which ran from 1980 to 1991 and was only open to Welsh players at the time.

Nowadays, the Welsh Open is available to any professional player and is the longest-running tournament behind the World Championship and the UK Championship.

There have been 19 different Welsh Open champions, but only three won the event more than twice. Those include Stephen Hendry (3), Ronnie O’Sullivan (4), and John Higgins (5).

Bettors have access to numerous payment methods when depositing money into their betting accounts, although this will vary depending on the bookmaker you use. The best bookmakers for snooker betting typically have many payment methods, including credit and debit cards, bank transfers, and E-wallets to prepaid vouchers, Apple Pay, and possibly cryptocurrencies.

Nowadays, bookies do a good job with available payment options, but it’s still important to check if the betting site accepts your preferred payment method. More importantly, it’s wise to check for any additional fees with the deposits, withdrawals, and transaction times.

Most popular payment methods include Visa/MasterCard, Neteller, Paysafecard, Skrill, and PayPal. Of course, the availability of all these payment methods will vary in different countries. Always check what’s on offer for your region.

Snooker Betting Tips

Placing a snooker bet is easy; anyone can do it, but finding the best wagering opportunities can be challenging. This is because it takes time to analyse all the stats and information that goes into making an educated bet, and most casual bettors don’t have enough time to do all that.

Luckily, there is a way around that! Here are my top tips.

  • If you aren’t sure what to bet on, you should check predictions and tips from snooker betting experts, who will offer betting previews where they share their thoughts and betting selections.
  • You should always bet only on what you feel comfortable with, but if you don’t know where to start, reading previews is a solid way to get valuable information.
  • After you get comfortable with wagering on snooker, it’s time to create your own strategy, but know that no strategy will guarantee you profit day after day. Instead, there are a few things you should keep in mind.
  • Before you make your bet, inform yourself of the players and get as much information on the match/tournament you want to wager on.
  • Sign up for multiple betting sites to shop for the best prices and always bet with the best odds.
  • Don’t risk more money than you can afford to lose. Even if you find solid bets, there is a degree of variance that will affect your bankroll. Learn how to manage your bankroll, as this is the only way to get through the losing streaks. Don’t break your bank and your spirit.

Betting can be fun, and it can be profitable with the right strategies. But if you’re reckless, it can easily turn into a problem.

Snooker Betting Terms You Should Know

One of the first things any aspiring snooker bettor has to do is to learn the terminology used in this sport. Below is a short glossary explaining the terms you should know.

Term Explanation
Angled Ball An angled ball is when the pocket prevents the cue ball from hitting a ball directly. Before 2011, special rules defined the situation, but after that, they were changed, and there are now no special rules for angled balls.
Black Ball The black ball is the highest-valued ball with 7 points. In the pool, the ball is usually numbered seven on the surface.
Break This term describes the initial breaking shot. It also represents a series of consecutive pots by players in a single turn.
Bridge It is special support for a cue that goes on its end. Players can also use their hands as a bridge to lift the cue a bit.
Century Break A century break is a break of 100 or more points in one visit to the table. It requires at least 25 consecutive balls and is regarded as the highest snooker skill.
Dead Ball Describes a ball that has stopped on the table after hitting its intended target.
Fluke A fluke is shot with a positive result for the player without his intention of doing anything like that. For example, a fluke is an unexpected pot off several cushions.
Frame A frame represents a single game.
Match It is a game between 2 opponents that can last for several frames.
Miss The miss rule occurs when a player fouls and leaves it safe, giving the other player a chance to make the same shot or as accurately as the referee reproduces the ball positions.
Pot Pot is a term used when the ball sinks into a pocket.
Whitewash A whitewash is the ultimate win for a player, where he wins all the frames while his opponent wins none.

Bottom Line 🔚

Before I conclude my article, check out some interesting facts about snooker you should know about.

  • Ronnie O’Sullivan, Mark Selby, Judd Trump, Mark Williams, Neil Robertson, and Steve Davis are some of the most popular players.
  • Of all players, Ronnie O’Sullivan is widely regarded as a superstar of the modern era, having won 7 World Championship titles, 8 Masters, and 8 UK Championships by 2024.
  • Snooker is a global sport but is most popular in England, Wales, Scotland, and Ireland.
  • Other sports similar to snooker include billiard, speed pool, and bowlliards.
  • The most popular and legal online bookmakers for betting on snooker include bet365, William Hill, Betway, DraftKings and FreshBet.
  • In 2015, an unsuccessful bid was submitted for snooker to be part of the 2022 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, and another bid was put forward for the 2024 Olympics, which also was unsuccessful.
  • O’Sullivan achieved the fastest 147 Break at the 1997 World Championship when he made his perfect clearance in just 5 minutes and 20 seconds.
  • Legend Joe Davis was the first world champion in 1927 and won all 15 tournaments he entered. He retired in 1946 when he claimed his 15th title, ending his career unbeaten from the World Championship.
  • Masters champion Stuart Bingham was embroiled in a betting scandal when he was caught betting on matches in 2017. To this day, he has dealt with abuse from the fans.
  • There has been only one whitewash in a World Championship match, in 1992, when Eddie Charlton lost against John Parrott 0-10.

It concludes my article, where I took a closer look at the world of snooker betting and unveiled the steps you need to take to find the best snooker mobile betting apps and sites. Equipped with all that knowledge, you’re ready to visit and sign up with top bookies and start betting – but remember to gamble responsibly and never wager with more than you can afford to lose!
